A few days ago, I found myself at this cafe during their breakfast service. My appointment had wrapped up earlier than expected, and I had initially planned to grab some In-N-Out on my drive home. However, since In-N-Out was closed, I opted to explore a local burger spot, and Roy's was highly recommended. The ladies working there provided truly excellent service, carefully preparing my cheeseburger to-go order. My only slight disappointment was discovering that fries or onion rings weren't available during breakfast hours. Despite that, the burger itself was outstanding, and I definitely plan on returning. What a great experience overall!

My breakfast expectations are quite high, largely because our usual spot is Peggy Sue's, so coming here was a stark contrast. Honestly, 'yuck' barely covers it! The bacon was truly awful, so much so that I actually ended up getting sick and throwing up afterward. As for the eggs, they were incredibly thin and completely devoid of any taste. Even the sourdough toast was a letdown, lacking any real flavor and just drenched in oil, making the whole experience utterly horrid. I can confidently say I will never be stepping foot in this place again. If you're searching for a truly great breakfast, I strongly recommend taking the short drive to Peggy Sue's Diner instead; their food always tastes fresh, the gravy is fantastic, and their toast is wonderfully flavorful with real butter. Seriously, save yourself the trouble and avoid this place.

I observed that the prices on the menu didn't quite match what we were charged, so it's definitely worth scrutinizing your receipt closely. Overall, the meal itself was passable, the attention from the staff was pretty standard, and the general vibe of the place was just okay. For what I'd categorize as a B-rated establishment, it wasn't a particularly bad experience.

The burger I received was quite substantial in size, which was a pleasant surprise. I did, however, experience a slight language barrier when attempting to understand the daily special from the staff member at the window. Although the drive-thru menu advertised a double cheese for $5.99, my total for the meal, which included a $7 shake and onion rings, came out to almost $26. This felt a bit higher than I expected, especially considering the added tip, which I found a little odd for a drive-thru transaction where I wasn't dining inside. Nevertheless, the food was genuinely very good, and I would certainly return for another visit.

Our server, Bianca, was an absolute delight, bringing an infectious, bubbly energy that made it clear she was truly enjoying her day at the "burger joint." The extra chocolate shake arriving in its own stainless steel mixer was a fantastic, memorable touch. My smash burger was impressively thick and wonderfully juicy, perfectly complemented by a truly great chocolate shake. Jeanne's chocolate dessert, which I gladly helped her finish, offered an even richer chocolate experience and rounded off the meal beautifully. I wholeheartedly recommend this spot, and honestly, Bianca deserves a raise for her exceptional service.

For anyone passing through, this spot is a fantastic alternative to the standard highway fast-food joints, offering the perfect stop for breakfast or lunch. Its location, a mere four minutes from the freeway, makes it incredibly accessible. The welcoming and straightforward atmosphere truly enhances the taste of every traditional dish, whether you choose Mexican or American cuisine. I was genuinely impressed by the food; to be clear, this isn't a fancy establishment, it's quite simple, but the quality of the meals truly shines through.

Our first visit was for a quick meal on the go, and the food truly hit the spot! My grilled ham and cheese, alongside the mashed potatoes generously topped with country gravy, was perfectly satisfying, and my boyfriend's burger also earned high praise. The service was exceptional; both the cook and our waitress were incredibly kind, consistently checking in to ensure we were having a great experience. While it definitely has that charming, old-school diner vibe that might not appeal to everyone looking for modern aesthetics, we found its classic feel perfectly fine. Overall, it's a dependable choice for a delicious meal when you're on the road.
